Inspiration Acts 17:22-31

COMMENTARY
One of the biggest battles Christians are facing now is the battle against an Apostate, new age, liberal thinking with the preaching that there are many pathways to God and it does not matter which god we serve and worship; because, after all, they all lead to the same God! I remember about nine years ago one of my friends left the Church because she just could not believe that our Church believed that Jesus is "the only way" to God!

Some non-christians even ask the question, "what about those people who worship different gods in the remote parts of the earth and never heard the name Jesus?" Well the Bible proclaims in Mathew 24:14: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." The Gospel is being preached to all nations, like no other time in history and God will judge accordingly. Or they ask "If someone lives their entire life as a good person, will they go to hell because they did not believe in Jesus" Psalm 53:1-3 gives us a clear answer. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."…We all need Jesus.

The belief that we can reach God by any means, is not just a new age thinking, the idea has taken root in many cultures. In India today, there is a temple that is decorated by carvings of all the gods you can ever think of, circulating all the way to the sky; they go as far as to say that Christians are paupers (lacking) because we only have one God.

When Paul visited Athens he found practically the same kind of worship taking place, the people of Athens were so religious that they had an alter for all the known gods, and just to make sure that they did not miss out on any, they erected an alter to "The Unknown God". Paul took this as an opportunity to proclaim the good news to the people of Athens. He did this by revealing some truths about the unknown God:

The Truths revealed About the Unknown God:

1) He created the Universe and the Earth and everything in it!
2) He does not live in temples made by man and does not need anything from man, because he gives everything!
3) He made the first man and from that one man, made every nation!
4) He determines how long each person has on the earth and where on the earth they will live!
5) He placed people in different and remote places on the earth so that they will seek after him!
6) In Him we live and have our being!
7) We are His offspring!
8) He is not made of Gold, Silver, stone or anything made by the design and skill of man!
9) He has overlooked such worship in the past but now he expects better from man!
10) He calls for all to repent!
11) He will judge all men with Justice by Jesus!
12) He has given us proof of this to all men by raising Jesus from the dead!

Paul was swimming upstream, while everyone around him was swimming downstream, but he still proclaimed the word of God and the truths revealed to Him by God. He was just as unpopular as any Christian today. How will you respond to the claims that there are millions of ways to God!, as proclaimed by world renowned, Oprah Winfrey and many evangelicals who are being deceived and turned away from the Gospel of Christ and forgetting the first commandment of God Exodus 20:3: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." We must continue to proclaim the death, burial and resurrection of Christ in season and out of season because by this men will be saved. - loswl

MERRY CHRISTMAS luvtheheaven3!! ciaimpala kick started this Christmas Wish List trend. I wish I could grant at least one wish for everyone who has responded to her vid but sadly I do not have the time. But I do want to grant as many as I can. So who better to start with than my BYTFF (Best YouTube Friend Forever), luvtheheaven3 (formerly luvtheheaven). We have been talking for over 2 years now!! I still remember when she first commented on my “She Will Be Loved” Clana video way back when and we have talked pretty much on a daily basis ever since! I have always admired her work and am eternally grateful for all the songs she’s sent me, the clips she provided me when I was still searching for sites and most of all for reviewing my work to help make each vid the best it can be!! I do plan to grant a few more wishes but I really wanted to at least grant one of hers! So luvtheheaven3 changed her first wish to be a vid to a song from ‘Glee’ (darn and I was going to get you an iPod, lol…seriously though, I was considering giving you my old one but I’m not quite ready to part with it…sorry! you got a new one anyway so it’s all good). I then proceeded to download ALL the songs from the show and listened to them tirelessly one night to find a good one to vid. Now I REALLY was hoping to get inspiration for a Clana video from them. It’s been AGES since I’ve vidded Clana and I know while she loves Clois, luvtheheaven3 has a spot for Clana in her heart and I know she would love to …

We lose our spirit so easily. We let our shortcomings grow larger in our minds while forgetting how much we can achieve with just a bit of hope and effort …

It’s barely the size of the tip of my index finger, and it’s so beautiful. There’s a tiny drain pipe (barely 2 inches in diameter .. I just measured) at a corner of my balcony through which rainwater flows down. This tiny fellow grew just at the inner edge of that hole. I wish I spotted it a lot earlier so that I could take a snap of its very early time.

This shot is from the very first day I spotted it. I’ve already taken 3 other shots of this with an approximately 24-hour interval. Not sure I’ll be uploading all of them, but you’re likely see it’s later condition soon.

The reason I’m following this is that the change it’s going through is very beautiful, and tremendously inspiring (which you can understand from the title).

Question by hereandnow: What does it mean when an ex texts and instant messages you?
A guy I went on several dates with keeps texting and im-ing me. I don’t really understand this at all–he told me that while I was very compatible, charming, and attractive to him, he just wasn’t as ready for a relationship as he thought. I agreed I wasn’t ready either, but I thought he was giving me the lines while really meaning he “just wasn’t that into me.” So…

Why does he still talk to me several times a week on IM for at least a half hour each time?
