Hi Kevin
I haven’t taken Tri Slim but understand it’s a new diet pill and when you see it advertised you are usually taken to a site called Pills Exposed this is supposed to be a site which exposes dieting scams. But what it’s really doing is trying to get you to sign up for a “free” trial. where all you do is pay shipping – what? well not exactly that either!
One of the “free” trials is for TriSlim which contains 3 popular ingredients : Acai, Green Tea and Hoodia.
In small print – when you sign up for the free trial it says if you don’t cancel within the 14 day period you will be billed for $ 89.31!!! and listen to this, then a further $ 89.31 every 30 days from then on – wow – you can only cancel by ringing a 1 – 800 number!! make your conclusions from that.
Also both Colocure and Tri slim are the same product.
Side effects – don’t know but if you search there are reports off a few serious ones. So take care.

Mechanical Regulation Of Cell Substrates Affects Stem Cell Development, Adhesion
Bioengineers at the University of Pennsylvania have created a system to control the flexibility of the substrate surfaces on which cells are grown without changing the surface properties, providing a technique for more controlled lab experiments on cellular mechanobiology, an important step in the scientific effort to understand how cells sense and respond to mechanical forces in their …

Cutting workers, demanding shortcuts: recipe for injury and death on the job [The Pump Handle]
“They were rushing because they had to get the equipment to another jobsite,” said the widow. “The boss tapped him to do the work because they were short-handed. He wasn’t trained to do it” said the grieving mother. “Yeah, I used equipment that I knew was unsafe. You’re shunned if you complain,” noted the disabled worker. These comments are just some of what I heard last week from family members …

How Stress Affects Health?
How Stress Affects Health?
Stress is a person’s physical response to the changes requiring adjustments. This covers physical, mental, emotional and psychological reactions. Stressful situations can cause the brain to strain allowing it in a mode of flight or fight. Flight is when the person escapes the situations that cause stress or fights to face them. However, stress enables humans to give quick spontaneous responses.
The ‘flight or fight’ mode is pushed by stress hormones. Some of these hormones are dorpamine, adrenalin, nonadrenalin, endorphins and cortisol. These hormones cause a surge of energy in the body when pumped into the blood stream. Then the body reacts to a given situation with the help of hormones.
The mentioned hormones are also responsible for increasing the speed of heart rate, brain activity, blood flow and breathing process of a person. It can also temporarily stop the digestion to preserve energy and encourage muscle tension.
Everyone is not aware that all kinds of stresses are not harmful or negative. A positive form of stress that makes people feel excited and happy is called Eustress. A small amount of stress can be helpful to the human in keeping the brain alert and making it perform better leading to better responses and reactions.
Stress is commonly known as harmful to the body. It can be harmful to a person when he eliminates everything that is related to slowing down even a little bit and relaxing. When a person works for long time, gets tensed and burns out the stress that comes out of it is harmful.
A lot of stress can hurt people. Low level symptoms include headaches and having a weak immune system that makes the body vulnerable to common diseases.
Chronic and severe stress can result in extensive damage. Chronic stress is considered as one of the main causes of health related problems nowadays. Research studies reveal that that chronic stress is associated with major causes of death. Hearth diseases and cancers are the major examples.
Other types of diseases can be caused by unwanted stress. Psychological problems such as anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders and depression can be caused by stress. This has a deteriorating effect on the human health. Hypertension and high cholesterol are few examples that may lead to digestive ulcers, diabetes, obesity and strokes.
Relationships can be ruined by stress and it can even cause aggression or sexual dysfunction. This causes a person to function illogically and less as a social being.
Stress can also be linked to substance abuse. Research shows that a number of people using prohibited drugs, tobacco and alcohol increase their stress levels. These substances are not helpful in curing stress but they may be temporary consolations that result in long term destruction.

Alcohol Abuse – One of the Main Thing Which Affects Mental Health
Alcohol Abuse – One of the Main Thing Which Affects Mental Health
Recent studies have suggested that when taken in small amounts for example, a glass of wine with dinner or an occasional shot of whiskey alcohol may be physically and psychologically beneficial for some older people.
But it’s important to establish the difference between sensible drinking and problem drinking. In general, you shouldn’t drink more than two drinks a day, and some experts say you shouldn’t drink every day. Note: One drink equals a regular beer (12 oz. or 340 mi. 5 percent alcohol) or one glass of wine (5 oz. or 145 ml. 12 percent alcohol) or one shot of liquor (1.5 oz. or 45 ml. 40 percent alcohol).
There are several reasons why people should curtail their drinking as they age.
You become more sensitive to the effects of alcohol, especially alcohol-induced cognitive impairment such as memory loss and poor concentration.
You are more prone to illnesses such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes later in life. Because these ailments can be aggravated by drinking, your doctor has probably told you not to drink.
You are more likely to be taking medication to control illnesses and have been warned not to mix these drugs with alcohol.
But many experts believe that the true extent of alcohol abuse among older adults may not be known for the following reasons:
Older drinkers tend to be middle class and don’t conform to the popular image of the alcoholic.
Older adults tend to be more isolated from those who typically recognize and report problem drinking in younger people for example, co-workers and employers.
Doctors may believe that older people “don’t do that” and miss symptoms of alcohol abuse.
The older person’s family may excuse excessive drinking (“What else does he have to do at his age?”) and actually supply him with brandy or wine. As well, relatives may be so embarrassed about an older family member who abuses alcohol that they deny or hide the situation.
If you suffer from alcohol-related problems now, it’s likely that you started drinking when you were younger. But about 30 percent of older drinkers start abusing alcohol after age 60. These late-onset drinkers tend to explain their drinking as a reaction to retirement, the death of a spouse or other stresses of older age. Some may turn to alcohol in an effort to relieve symptoms from chronic pain, insomnia, depression and anxiety that occur later in life.
However, it’s not clear why some older people who are under stress begin to abuse alcohol, while many others who face similar or even more severe stress never develop a problem. In fact, researchers still aren’t clear what causes alcoholism at any age.
Some studies have suggested that alcoholism tends to run in families either because of a genetic factor or because drinkers saw alcohol consumed at home and learned that this was an acceptable way to handle stress. In recent years some experts have put forward the idea that alcoholism is a disease that shouldn’t be blamed on the victim. Others disagree, saying that this view discounts any notion of individual personal control.
Drinking could lead to many problems in your life. Most of the people start drinking with a effort to relieve depression, but like that they are putting themselves in one other very big problem
