Question by Makemehappy09: I got involved with an ex and I want to know if I was just too stupid to see it coming or did I run him off?
Prior to getting married I was involved with a guy (we lived together for 6 months) that got a charge (non violent felony) and went to jail for 9 years. After a month I broke up with him while he was in jail because I couldn’t get used to the whole hold idea of being in a relationship with someone in jail. Prior to him going to jail we had no problems while we lived together. He provided for me financially when I needed it we never fought or had arguments and I met his family and vise versa. After 2 years I found someone who I thought I would spend the rest of my life with and we married. All during my marriage my ex would call from jail. I never accepted the calls but would say don’t call here anymore when asked do I accept. Once he was released he continued to call. I would not have conversations with him because I just thought it was creepy that he called after all that time. I was no longer married and one day I decided to just talk to him to see what was up. We talked and he explained that he always loved me and that if he had not gotten locked up then him and I would have been married. He was calling to make sure I was ok and he wanted me back. By this time he was established. He was living with a relative, had a nice car and a job. I was reluctant but enjoyed his conversation and attention. I met him at his brothers house one day and he couldn’t stay away from me. He kept starring at me and was so happy that I came to see him and told me I was still very beautiful. I told him that I had a 5 year old daughter and he said why does that matter. His brother dates my best friends cousin and she told my best friend that he has never brought any other girl around his family. He always talks about me and always said that he wanted me back and that if he had not gotten locked up we would have been married. He himself continued to express that he wanted me back and wanted to marry me someday. He always said he loved me. After talking daily, phone and text and meeting with him after a month and a half we had sexual intercourse. Nothing changed afterwards. He had a financial set back. His car transmission had to be replaced so he was under a lot of stress to get the money to fix. He’s on probation (strict officer) however, he still hangs out often. After 3 weeks he started becoming distant. We had not officially gone on a date like dinner or movies because his finances were short (trying to get on his feet good). I had been complaining that he did not spend as much time with me as I thought he should being that he officially stated himself that we were in a relationship. He assured me that nothing changed, the calls and text kept coming and he just said he was stressed about his job and finances. He stood me up recently, said he would be at my house at 10:30 but never called. I was pissed that it happened because I had been excited to spend time with him. I texted him and said I don’t want to hold you back on the things you want in life-I just feel that I don’t fit in the picture-enjoy life love you always 2nd text – if you knew u weren’t going to treat me right u should have never called me after all that time-I see now how stupid I was – do not ever call me again. Am I wrong to hope that if he really cared about me that he would call to say he was sorry and/or check on me? Or should I just leave it to that maybe I was just something he wanted to do (literally) and he already accomplished his goal. I felt that because he told his family about me, we had lived together once and he instantly expressed his love for me that we were past the first stages of a relationship but maybe I ran him off. Should I call him? Please advise me what to do.
Now I really feel stupid….I dont know what to say when I call him being that I text him those messages “said I don’t want to hold you back on the things you want in life-I just feel that I don’t fit in the picture-enjoy life love you always 2nd text – if you knew u weren’t going to treat me right u should have never called me after all that time-I see now how stupid I was – do not ever call me again.” But if he loves me why hasnt he called me…atleast apologize. He hangs out with his family so he has money for that and I’ve explained to him that all we have to do is chill. We dont have to go somewhere that costs anything. What to do???

I think dat guy really loves you, just try and understand his situation cos you don’t know wot tomorrow will be like. I will advice you to call him

I just got saved and trying to live for God. I used to have unmarried sex, but i have made up my mind to remain abstainant from now on until marriage. My question is should i stop taking birth control pills because im saved now? I have looked in the bible and i cannot find anything about it. Im also praying to God for answers.Can someone give me advice on tis matter?
may i add the fact that im not asking this question to continue with premarital sex. There are other reasons people take the pill!

If you’re not going to have sex, and you don’t take them for medical reasons, it seems a waste of good money to continue on the pill.
Just the same, I’d make sure my saving stuck before I stopped filling the prescription.

I have been taking it for about 6 days now. My psychiatrist prescribed it off-label for binging and purging (bulimia) and other compulsive behaviors (opiod addiction and smoking). I am taking 50mg at night and have noticed only mild side effects so far (tingling in my hands and numbness in my face), but no effect on any compulsive behaviors. Has anyone been prescribed topamax for these reasons? How long does it take to work? What dose has been effective for you? Please tell me everything you can about your experience. The more answers the better!

I work in a pharmacy and went to our pharmacy website to find out all I could on Topamax for you and was confused when I read it was for migraines and seizures, so I did some research.

I really have no vices, except, after my wife had an affair a few years ago, I decided to do the same, except I can’t stop. These women feed my ego by telling me how good-looking, “big” and good in bed I am, and they are better than my wife in practically every way except I wouldn’t want anyone else to be the mother of my kids, 12 and 9.
Anyway, I want to trade in this sex addiction for some other, more accepted addiction. Suggestions?
