Why doesn’t he call the kids?
Question by thinking: Why doesn’t he call the kids?
My husband of 18+ years left rather quickly after starting an affair on line with his high school girlfriend and moved 1000 miles away (2 weeks ago). He said the most important thing in his life was his two daughters ( I disagreed and told him so). He has spoken to them once since leaving and of the 1 1/2 months he was here before moving, he only had them one weekend before he left permanently. On that weekend he told the girls he would call them every night. My 8 year old called him a liar (I did not know that he said he would call them daily, until they let it slip out a couple days ago). Sooo, why doesn’t he call???
Incidentially, he was very involved with both daughters all their lives, coaching, committees, field trip chaperone, you name it,he did it.

TopLine Federal Credit Union Employee Donations Help Twin Cities Kids Start the School Year Right
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 11, 2006
Each year, many disadvantaged families are not able to take part in the back-to-school shopping tradition for the school supplies their kids need for success at school. To assist families in the northern Twin Cities metro area, TopLine Federal Credit Union employees filled 216 backpacks with needed supplies as part of the Brooklyn Park Community Emergency Assistance Program (CEAP) and The Caring Tree statewide Back-to-School Program. The backpacks will be distributed to CEAP clients within the communities it serves. This is the third year TopLine employees have participated on the back-to-school supply drive, and their efforts have been recognized by the 2006 Dora Maxwell Award for Social Responsibility.
“This is just one example of the extraordinary generosity shown by the TopLine staff in reaching out to the underserved in our community,” said Harry Carter, president and CEO for TopLine. “They understand the importance in having all kids start the school year with the same advantages, and providing these backpacks is one way they can help give them a better chance for educational success.”
“This year 899 students received a new backpack and school supplies through the Brooklyn Park CEAP Back to School/Caring Tree Program, and the number grows each year,” said Tom Hardin, assistant director for CEAP. “We are most grateful to the employees at TopLine for their significant donation this year and continued support of this program.”

Vail Daily column: Angry adults given specific messages as children
Psychotherapists who work with depressed and angry people encounter the same emotions and self-images in nearly all of their clients – and most of those emotions can be traced to the messages that kids are given about themselves in childhood. It is clear that depressed and angry people have not just gone through a disappointing experience or two. Rather, they have been given some very specific …

The …
